Goodbye Topper

As some of you already know, this summer it came time for us to sell Topper. He was apart of our family and it was hard to see him go. Below are the pictures from the last ride we had with him as a family. There are some absolutely adorable pictures. Topper was a great horse and it was an adventure training him. We could not have asked for a better family horse. We loved him and he loved us equally as much. Just Michael and Daddy went when the new family came to pick him up. Michael was so brave and faced his sadness with courage. He was given the option of not going when they came to pick him up, but he insisted on going. It was a touching moment for Daddy to witness his 3 year olds courage. After we loaded him in the trailer and they started to drive away Michael just stood their, his lip started to quiver, a single tear started to role down his cheek, and he simply said... "Daddy I will miss Topper, I love him."

Michael has particularly loved having a horse. He has turned into a regular Cowboy! He loved taking his friends ridding and teaching them about his horse. Michael was actually the first to ride Topper, even before Daddy! After Topper was trained Michael and Daddy would go on rides together and they loved to make up silly Cowboy songs as they rode. We were blessed to be able to have Topper as part of are family for the time that we did. Goodbye Topper, we all will miss you.
